Day 14 - We Made It!

Today marks the Official last day of our 14 day bonding period. A chapter in our story closes and another begins, waiting for court. It also meant more, you guessed it, paperwork! We signed more documents today all in duplicate and all in Russian, for all we know we could be signing away our income for the next year, but it would all be worth it. No, seriously, Al is always very thorough in explaining everything we are signing.

These were documents for after court to get William's Kazakhstan passport and stamps and registration to be able to live permanently in the U.S. It seems like we just got here. Everything has been so great so far. It still seems like a dream sometimes that I don't want to wake up from.

Our pics for today...

It was great to hear some more news....it must be hard to get internet access where you are at since the gaps are so big. Thanks for giving updates on all the days when you do get on. Love reading your blog and seeing your beautiful family. Hoping November 14th goes without a hitch for you all.

Hi David and Gabrielle -

My husband and I are also going through LMI and are leaving to adopt our son from Karakastek in about two weeks...It is so great to read about your experiences in Kaz - Thanks for sharing!

Your son is absolutely precious - I just love that little face, especially with his big bright smile! He is really adorable...

So, it sounds like your experiences in Almaty have been very positive so far - We will keep your in our thoughts for court on 11/14. I'm sure all will go well, and before you know it you'll be back in San Antonio with your new son!
